December 9

We finally pulled our Christmas decor down from the attic and decorated our tree tonight. Hamilton loved playing with Claire's nativity. Grandma Judy gave Claire this sweet nativity several years ago, and every year she loves to open the boxes with each nativity character and set the figures in a place of honor. Claire showed it to Hamilton this year, and he fell in love. How sweet he was moving the figures around the nativity and trying to tell the story just as she had told him.

Grandma Judy and Lollipops

Hamilton has experienced many "firsts" in the last few days, and one of his favorites has been lollipops. Hamilton found a bag of lollipops which he played with for days as toys; he counted them, put them in and out of a plastic box over and over, and carried them around from room to room. Eventually he ripped the paper off one and stuck it in his mouth like an old pro. (Perhaps he's had one at school because I've never given him one before.) Then he and Grandma Judy enjoyed a lollipop break.

Adjusting

Grandma Judy visited during Collier's second week of life, and it was great to have extra help with all the kiddos. Hamilton quickly grew comfortable with Grandma Judy again, and by her second day with us he was cutely calling her "Joo" or "Jee."
Last week was my first week of taking care of both boys by myself each day; things went as smoothly as I could have expected. Adjusting to life with two little ones means smaller snippets of time to myself and less time for necessary, household chores. And, blogging--well, I miss it and I miss having the time to enjoy reading blogs and writing.

I have lots of posts swirling around in my head, and I'm hoping to get to those soon. And, I have lots of ideas for the new look of Morgan Adventures, but they'll take time to accomplish. (A special thanks to Travis for the cool, new header. I love having such a talented graphic designer in the family!)

Fun with Grandma Judy

Wednesday morning Claire and Grandma Judy worked on a gingerbread house. Claire was excited to make her creation, though her refusal to consult the directions produced an unstable dwelling. Later that day it looked like a tornado had hit it. Mr. Morgan and Claire debated today about running the remains over with the car, since the gingerbread house had given her such a hard time.
Hamilton was excited to show Grandma Judy his favorite, new Christmas book. He loves the felt characters of the Christmas story, and lately he enjoys taking the felt pieces out of the plastic holder on the front of the book and putting them away again.
